The monograph is divided into six chapters which outline the work done first at the laboratory of the Parapsychology Foundation and then continued at the Dream Laboratory of Maimonides Medical Center in the 1960s.
Chapter 1 describes studies conducted before rapid eye movement monitoring methodologies were available to the experimenters. In Chapter 2, the authors describe the initial efforts to develop a dream-telepathy experiment based on these new physiological measures for determining dream onset and dream termination. Chapters 3 and 4 include more results of studies with information both on target materials and on dream content. In Chapter 5, the authors propose a theory to incorporate their results. They also examine the great range and diversity of experimental approaches needed to more fully explore the dream state from a parapsychological point of view. |
