Surepay
Your credit card transactions on Psi-Mart.com are processed by YOURPAY, the secure credit card service. Your credit card detail (card number, expiration date and verification number) are not maintained on Psi-Mart.com but are used by YOURPAY to process your payments. The only information that Psi-Mart.com receives about your credit card is whether or not the transaction went through, the amount your card was charged, and the final four numbers of your credit card as it appears on your confirmation. Customer Information
Psi-Mart.com outputs your order, your billing and shipping address to a report which is downloaded and entered into the Parapsychology Foundation's off-line accounting system. No information is kept on the specific items you ordered, but your name, billing and shipping addresses are entered into our database. We use this customer database to send out flyers about our events and activities. If you would rather that we didn't maintain your information, send an email to office@psi-mart.org and we will delete your postal address from our off-line database.
Use of Your Email
In the course of ordering you are asked for your email address. This is only used to send you your confirmation email and/or if there is some problem or special processing connected with your order (if it is returned to us as undeliverable, if an item is temporarily out of stock, if you have ordered a PDF format reprint that we need to send to you via email, etc.). Your email is not entered into our Website Subscribers Email Mailing List unless you specifically ask us to do that by going to our main website, www.parapsychology.org and entering your name into the "Information Request" box on the Home Page.
Use of Cookies
Psi-Mart.com uses cookies to establish your user session. The cookie simulates a continuous connection by recording what you add to your shopping cart so that you can continue to shop and add new items as you discover them during that session. The cookie temporarily stores information about your choices so as to provide you with your customized selections when it comes time to check out. The information in the cookie applies only to a single visit. It is stored on your hard drive by the Web Page Server and used by Psi-mart.com only during that visit. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by our Web Server. Please rest assured that cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. |
